WHO We ARE
Media Vision was formed in 1998 as a new media company specialising in interactive digital media production for the museum and heritage sector.
We have a wide range of skills including project management, design and content production and advanced programming.
The core of our work is the design and production of computer interactives and websites.
We also create audio-visual presentations for large screens, CDs and DVDs.
We use 2D and 3D animation, video, QuickTime Virtual Reality, games and quizzes
to create original and imaginative work for a large audience and all age groups.
We believe that the best work is created in collaboration. We therefore value and respect the contribution of each member of any given project team.
Media Vision was a finalist in the Pirelli International Multimedia Awards.

Welcome to the Media Vision web site.
We specialise in audio-visual production and touchscreen interactives for the Museum and Heritage sector.
We also take commissions for video programmes, print work and websites.
INTERACTIVES
Touchscreen Interactives have become an established form of heritage interpretation in the modern museum. They promote learning through interaction and may include sound, video and animation as well as traditional graphics and text.

NANTCLWYD HOUSE
Nantclwyd House is an historic house dating from medieval times. We developed a touchscreen interactive that incorporates a QTVR virtual tour, a 3D historical reconstruction and an interactive timeline.

NATURE's WORLD
This game was devised for an eco-centre visitor attraction. It explains and demonstrates how to grow plants hydroponically while keeping the subject light and fun for a younger audience.

THE DORMAN MUSEUM
This interactive game was developed to show what it was like to be an evacuee in Britain during the second world war. It is short and succinct and allows the user to easily ‘play again’ and learn through the process.
MULTIMEDIA +3D
Multimedia and 3D animation can be used to create virtual tours or to visualise the past. Video can be a great way to get across ideas in a form that is engaging and entertaining.

VIDEO
Video can tell the story in a simple and immediate way. This excerpt
is from the Peatlands exhibition at Tullie House Museum and Gallery, Carlisle. The video blends live footage with animation.

QUICKTIME VIRTUAL REALITY
QTVR stands for QuickTime Virtual Reality. By stitching together a series of photographs we can create immersive panoramas. QTVR can also be used to create Object VR’s – interactive images of 3D objects.

3D
3D modelling and animation is a powerful tool. For example, 3D can be used to create historical reconstructions and architectural visualisations. It is also a good way to explain processes that are normally hidden from view.
