Most of the websites we build benefit from a CMS (Content Management System) based on the WordPress framework. These dynamic, database-driven websites require regular maintenance updates to keep them running smoothly and secure from hackers and malware (malevolent software).

With cybersecurity a constant concern, the costs and work involved in keeping websites and data secure, are significant. Rather than charge you to fix things if they go wrong, we prefer to follow a schedule of regular maintenance and security updates to try to prevent issues before they occur.

This strategy increases the chance that your website won’t get broken or hacked and will always be online. And if anything does go wrong – then we will fix it free of charge. See it as insurance for your website.

Bespoke Hosting and Maintenance packages

If your requirements are more specialised, for example you need extra storage, a multisite network, or you would like your site to run on a CDN, we are happy to create a bespoke package for you.

What we do:

Keep the core WordPress install and plugins up to date and resolve any conflicts that arise.
Back up the website and database on a nightly basis.
Provide real-time monitoring of your website to ensure it is online, and also provide free troubleshooting and restoration in the unlikely event that the website goes offline.

What isn’t included

The maintenance package doesn’t include building new pages, adding photographs, adding or changing text and so on.
The good news is that with a fully featured CMS you will be able to do many of these tasks yourself. If you would prefer us to do this for you, just let us know – we will be happy to help.

Hosting Questions?

As a subscriber, what do I get?

Your website will be hosted in the cloud on solid state disks on the latest servers running on a lightning fast network.

Your website will be automatically monitored to make sure it is always online. The site will also be reviewed regularly to check that all is well and that any security or plugin updates have been implemented. If you ever find that something has gone wrong, you can simply get in touch and we will fix it free of charge.

Will my subscription auto renew?

Yes, as long as you do not cancel, your subscription will be debited from your PayPal or Credit Card account. There is no minimum contract and you can cancel at any time.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

If you cancel your subscription, your hosting package will expire at the end of that month’s subscription period. Your website will then no longer be available on the internet.

Can I have my site hosted with Media Vision?

Our managed hosting service is provided primarily for our existing clients. However if you would like to benefit from a managed hosting solution from Media Vision, please get in touch.

What is your backup strategy?

Our databases and website files are backed up nightly and stored at a separate location from your website and kept for 30 days. So although catastrophe may never befall your site, you can rest assured that if the worst does happen, we can have you up and running again in no time at all.

Why does Media Vision provide hosting ?

We do all the maintenance on the website and carefully look after things for you. In the unlikely event that anything does go wrong, we are just on the end of the phone.
